What information do I need to have ready?

How do I transfer my prescriptions to your pharmacy, and how long does this process take?
Generally, the process can take up to five business days to receive new prescription(s) from your prescriber(s). Your insurance provider may dictate when medication(s) may be refilled based on the date of your last refill(s).
How will you ensure continuity of care during the transition?
Refills will be processed as quickly as possible. If you are out of a medication or need a refill very soon, please contact your prescriber directly to have a new prescription sent to Kinney Drugs.
Should I anticipate a delay in prescription filling while the transfer happens?
Prescription transfers can take up to five business days to process. If you are out of a medication or need a refill very soon, please contact your prescriber directly to have a new prescription sent to Kinney Drugs.
Can you fill all my current prescriptions, including any specialty or controlled medications?
We fill the majority of all prescriptions and prescription types. If your prescription is one that we cannot fill, we will contact you directly.
Can I transfer prescriptions for my whole family at once, including children or elderly parents?
Yes, you can transfer prescriptions for multiple family members at the same time.
One online transfer request form should be submitted for each patient (for up to 20 prescriptions at the same time).

How will my prescription history be preserved so I don't lose track of my past medications?
Please reach out to your current pharmacy directly to obtain your prescription history. Kinney Drugs would not have access to that information.
Do you accept my insurance and prescription discount cards?
Kinney Drugs accepts most insurance. We will reach out to you with any questions or concerns regarding your insurance.
Will I pay the same amount for my medications, or should I expect price differences?
Pricing could vary based on several factors, including insurance coverage.
Kinney Drugs can automatically notify you of your prescription drug costs ahead of time if you sign up for text notifications.

When I’m officially in your system, can I go to any of your locations to fill my prescriptions?
